Although globally abundant as an element, the pure form of zinc metal is rarely found in nature. In the past it was manufactured by roasting zinc ore in an air excluding oven and cooling to condense the zinc vapor into solid zinc metal. Today, more efficient and environmentally friendly roasting-leaching-electrolysis techniques process underground extracted zinc sulfides producing 99.995% pure zinc and accurately defined parts of copper and titanium. The quality of the material is consistent and flawless.
